Daily Ritual For A Calmer, More Productive Day.

12/04/2012 10:31

Why not start each new days on a positive note.

  1. On waking, have a brisk shower to wash away the negative energies that have contaminated the a physical body/vehicle since your last shower/bath and then visualise it cleansing the auric field (this is the electro-magnetic energy field of the physical body/vehicle) of any negative thoughts and feelings.
  2. Put on some loose and comfortable clothing - a t-shirt and jogging trousers/shorts are just perfect.
  3. Select a space within the home and place a rug large enough to lie upon on the floor.
  4. Playing some gentle music is great, choose something relaxing and uplifting, there are lots of meditation/new age music on the market and you can always download somethng from the interent.
  5. You may wish to light a candle or an incense stick - these helo to set the mood and it only takes a moment or so to make these prepartions.
  6. Now it is time to stand on the mat, centre yourself, (this is easy - bring your focus within to the mind - forget what surrounds you on the outside).
  7. You could say a little prayer to help you become more centred, one of praise, thanks, love and compassion works well. Just a simple thanks and a request for help and guidance works well.
  8. Now it is time to get into your gentle exercise programme - Yoga, Tai-chi, Qi-gong or even gentle aeorbics - whatever workd for you.
  9. Whilst excercising focus on each movement by focussing on the muscle groups, so not forget to regulate your breath, this is most important. Steady breathing cleanses and energises.
  10. End your exercise session with a rest period, lie on your mat on your back, bring your focus to  of your being  and sit in the silence (this is where you communicate with the still small voice within - your Soul).
  11. Namaste.
  • My choice is to use a tape of gentle Chinese music and I use Yoga and Tai-Chi movements to stretch, tone and energise my body (the physical vehicle of the Soul).

  • For those starting out with no knowledge of Yoga or Tai-chi I suggest you find a good book on the subject. You could join a yoga or Tai-chi class if there is one in your area.
  • Salutation to Sun is a great way to get into Yoga (see diagram below).   Do this excercise (Asana) three times. Contact me if you need help and support,
  • I will endeavour to post some further exercises to help those interested.
