As an incarnating aspect of the Source you are always connected and therefore have an open line of contact. This lifeline is known as the 'Silver Cord' and when it is severed then life in the physical body comes to an end and the soul aspect returns to the world of pure spirit.

As an incarnating Soul one has the potential of traveling through time and space along the silver cord which connects them to the Source. It is here that they can connect/reconnect with former incarnations (past lives). Whilst on these inner journeys through time and space re-connecting can be the most worthwhile as knowledge/wisdom gained in a previous incarnation can be accessed and information brought forward into this current incarnation as teaching. This teaching is from the Soul and not from a separate entity, a discarnate guide or helper.

So the inner journeys along your own personal time-space continuum which is connected to the Source are an invaluable source of learning. This is why it is essential to put to one side a small portion of time to sit and go within, to enable one to reconnect with the other aspects of the 'Soul Self'. You will be most surprised at what one is able to bring back to this time-space continuum after such an inner journey.
